I started teaching in 2003 after growing up in the WAME/DECA world following in the footsteps of my father George Way. I clearly remember WAME conference calls coming into my house as a teenager and thinking that my Dad was dominating the phone line! I am happy to be on the WAME board as the Professional Development board member and look forward to taking this opportunity to find unique, exciting and current topics to share with our WAME members. I am currently teaching part-time at Shorecrest High School, focusing on Marketing 1, Marketing 2 and our School-Based Enterprise. I am a proud Alumni of the Foster School at the University of Washington with a degree in Business Administration with concentration in Marketing as well as a Certificate of International Studies in Business in the French track. I live in Seattle with my husband and two children. We’re passionate about exploring new places, traveling as much as we possibly can and spending time with our families in the Skagit Valley.
